This recipe proves that spectacular desserts don't have to be complicated. Just a few ingredients and a little patience while chilling are all it takes to create sweet works of art. The red color gives them a romantic touch, and the crispy interior makes it impossible to stop at just one.

Crispy interior with Almond Crunchy

The secret to the unique texture of these cake pops is our Almond Crunchy spread from Good Noot . Unlike regular spreads, Almond Crunchy contains pieces of perfectly toasted almonds, which contrast beautifully with the soft sponge cake and creamy mascarpone cheese. This combination makes for a multi-dimensional and incredibly satisfying dessert.

Cake Pops Recipe (4 pieces)

Ingredients:

  • 100 g of sponge cakes

  • 60 g mascarpone cheese

  • 80 g of Almond Crunchy cream from Good Noot

  • Red food coloring

Icing:

  • 60 g white chocolate

  • 5 g coconut oil

  • Red food coloring

Preparation method:

  1. Preparation of the base: grind the biscuits in a food processor until finely ground.

  2. Mixing the mixture: Add the Almond Crunchy cream, mascarpone cheese, and a dash of red food coloring to the ground ladyfingers. Knead by hand or with a mixer until you obtain a uniform, malleable, intensely colored mixture.

  3. Shaping: Form 4 hearts from the prepared mixture. To make it easier, you can first make balls, then gently flatten them and shape the indentation at the top and the point at the bottom.

  4. Cooling: Place the finished hearts on a plate and place in the freezer for about 15–20 minutes. This step is crucial for ensuring the glaze sets nicely on the cake.

  5. To prepare the glaze: Meanwhile, melt the white chocolate with coconut oil in a double boiler or microwave. Add the red food coloring and mix until smooth and shiny.

  6. Chocolate bath: dip cooled cake pops in colored chocolate (you can use lollipop sticks or a fork for this).

  7. Setting: leave the dessert in the fridge for a while until the chocolate is completely set and becomes crispy.
