Coconut spread with almonds COCONOOT CRUNCHY – a crunchy taste of the tropics
Coconoot Crunchy is a coconut spread with roasted almonds and crunchy nut pieces, handmade in our workshop in Kraków. Good Noot is the nutty sister of the Kraków ice cream parlour Good Lood. Every jar holds 24% roasted almonds, 16% coconut flesh and 7% desiccated coconut – a thick, creamy spread with a crunch in every spoonful. Don't worry, no coconuts will fall on your head – but your taste buds will head straight for the palm trees!
Prefer less sugar? Try Coconoot Crunchy with no added sugar – the same coconut and almond duo, sweetened with maltitol.
Why do Nootheads love Coconoot Crunchy?
- Coconut and almond in equal parts – 24% roasted almonds and 23% coconut (16% flesh + 7% desiccated). Neither flavour drowns out the other.
- Crunchy almond pieces – we roast them ourselves, so every spoonful has a pleasant crunch.
- No palm oil – the creamy texture comes from shea fat.
- Gluten-free.
- Vegetarian – it contains skimmed milk powder, so it is not vegan.
- Handmade in Kraków – shipped within 24 h, free delivery in Poland from 99 PLN.
Coconut spread – what exactly is it?
In Polish kitchens “coconut cream” can mean three different things. The first is a ready-to-eat coconut spread like Coconoot Crunchy: open the jar and spread it on toast or pancakes, or add it to desserts. The second is a homemade coconut cake filling – whipped from mascarpone, cream, custard or coconut milk and desiccated coconut. The third is canned or block coconut cream used in Asian cooking and for whipping – a completely different product, with no almonds and no dessert sweetness.
Our spread goes by several names: coconut and almond spread, almond and coconut cream, coconut spread with almonds. They all lead to the same jar.
Spread or paste? A paste is usually a single ground ingredient – such as Tylko Migdał, a 100% almond paste. A spread combines several ingredients and is sweeter and more dessert-like. If you love almonds without coconut and with more nuts, try Almond Crunchy (53% almonds).
How to choose a good coconut spread? What to look for in the ingredients
- Order of ingredients – the higher on the list, the more of it. In Coconoot Crunchy roasted almonds come first and sugar only fourth.
- How much coconut – check whether the producer gives a percentage. Ours: 16% coconut flesh and 7% desiccated coconut.
- Type of fat – palm oil or, for example, shea fat. We use shea.
- Milk powder – important on a vegan diet. Coconoot Crunchy contains it.
- Sugars in the nutrition table – Coconoot Crunchy has 18 g of sugars per 100 g. It is a dessert spread and we don't pretend otherwise. For fewer sugars, choose the no added sugar version (6.7 g per 100 g).

How to use coconut spread? Recipes with Coconoot Crunchy
Coconoot Crunchy is ready to use straight away: on porridge, pancakes and waffles, with crepes and croissants, in no-bake desserts, as a filling for cakes and cheesecakes – or simply by the spoonful straight from the jar. We won't tell anyone!
Coconut cake filling with mascarpone
Ingredients: 250 g cold mascarpone, 200 ml cold 30% whipping cream, 5 tablespoons Coconoot Crunchy, 1–2 tablespoons icing sugar (optional), 2 tablespoons desiccated coconut.
- Whip the cream until stiff.
- In another bowl, briefly mix the mascarpone with Coconoot Crunchy and icing sugar.
- Fold both together with a spoon and add the desiccated coconut. This is enough to fill and cover a cake of about 20 cm. The almond pieces stay in the filling – and that's exactly the point.
5-minute coconut and mango cups
Serves 2: 300 g Greek yoghurt, 2 tablespoons Coconoot Crunchy, 1 ripe mango (or pineapple), a handful of granola. Mix half of the spread into the yoghurt. Layer in glasses: yoghurt, fruit, granola, and top with the rest of the spread.
