Ho, ho, ho! Are you good Nut Maniacs ready for breakfast? Food can't be boring on Christmas morning. It has to be magical, colorful, and… delicious!

If you're looking for a wow factor at the table and a smile on the faces of your family, we've got a real hit for you. Santa hat pancakes are a viral trend that's taking the internet by storm. They're bright red, folded into perfect triangles, and topped with a fluffy white cloud of whipped cream. And what's inside? The best surprise – delicious Choconoot® Crunchy Sugar-Free Cream.

Santa Claus Hat Pancakes

The secret to making these pancakes disappear in a flash is the filling. We opted for our winter bestseller in a healthy version – Choconoot® Crunchy Cream No Added Sugar from Good Noot .

Why is it the perfect choice? Because the holidays are a time for pampering. Our cream combines intense cocoa with a wealth of crunchy hazelnuts. It perfectly contrasts with the soft, red pancake and adds character. It's a sweet treat you can indulge in without guilt, even for a second breakfast!

Santa Hat Pancakes Recipe

Prepare a whisk, cream and… a lot of good humor!

Ingredients (for 4 larger pancakes):

  • Cake:

    • 2 egg whites (these will make the cake lighter and take the color better!)

    • 1/2 cup of milk (cow's or plant-based)

    • 1/2 cup of wheat flour

    • 1 teaspoon oil (plus a little for frying)

    • A pinch of salt

    • 1 teaspoon of sugar or erythritol

    • Red food coloring (the amount depends on the intensity you want – add gradually!)

  • Filling:

    • Choconoot® Crunchy Cream No Added Sugar (lots!)

  • Decoration:

    • Whipped cream (make it yourself from 30% cream or use ready-made spray) – this will create the pompom and fur of the hat.

How to make it:

  1. Mix the color: In a bowl, combine the egg whites, milk, flour, oil, salt, and sweetener. Add the food coloring. Mix until you have a perfectly smooth, intense red batter without any lumps.

  2. Fry: Heat a pan and rub it with a little oil (preferably with a paper towel to create a thin layer). Pour in a ladle of batter, spread it evenly over the surface, and fry for about 1–2 minutes on each side.

    • Tip: Fry over medium heat and keep an eye on the time – we don't want the pancakes to turn brown, they should stay red!

  3. Spread and fold: Spread generously on the prepared, still warm pancakes Choconoot® Crunchy Sugar-Free Cream . Fold the pancake in half, then in half again, to form a triangle.

  4. Decorate: Now for the magic! Make a dollop of whipped cream at the top of the triangle (this is the hat's pompom). Pipe a strip of whipped cream along the rounded edge at the bottom of the triangle (this is the hat's white fur).

Voilà! Your Christmas breakfast masterpiece is ready.
