How to Make Homemade Doughnuts – Learn the doughnut recipe and delicious doughnut fillings

Fat Thursday is a day when we can indulge in a little (or more!) sweet treat. What if, instead of the traditional rose or plum jam doughnuts, we tried something new? Good Noot doughnuts stuffed with nut cream are a real hit that will conquer the palates of all sweet lovers!

How to make homemade doughnuts?

Before we move on to the filling, it's important to ensure the dough is fluffy and tender. Here's a simple recipe:

INGREDIENTS:
500 g flour type 550
7 egg yolks
25 g fresh yeast
230 ml of milk
75 g of sugar
80 g butter
2 tablespoons of vinegar
1 liter of rapeseed oil for frying

Preparation method:

1. Prepare the starter. Use yeast, a tablespoon of flour, about 30 ml of milk, and set aside for 15 minutes.

2. Meanwhile, beat the egg yolks with the remaining sugar until fluffy – this will make the doughnuts as soft as a cloud.

3. Next, combine the flour, starter, milk, vinegar (it will evaporate during frying), and the fluffy egg yolk-sugar mixture in a bowl. Knead the dough until combined, then add the butter and knead again for another 10 minutes. The dough will be quite sticky, but do not add any more flour, as this will toughen the doughnuts. Set aside to rise in a warm place for about 2 hours – cover the bowl to prevent the dough from drying out while rising.

4. Once the dough has risen, place it on the counter, knead it for a while, then roll it out to a thickness of approximately 1.5-2 cm and cut out your preferred shapes.

5. Cover and let the cut doughnuts rise for about 45 minutes. This makes 16 medium-sized doughnuts.

6. Fry in hot oil at 170-180 degrees, then the donuts will not burn on the outside and you will be sure that they are perfect inside.

Now it's time for the best part – the filling!
