This recipe is inspired by Italian cannoli , but in our version we've opted for whole-grain tortillas instead of deep-fried dough. It's a lighter, modern take on the classic pistachio cream dessert.
Ingredients for 12 pieces:
For tubes:
2 whole wheat tortillas
1 egg
30g PISTACHIO Good Noot cream without added sugar
Chopped pistachios for decoration
For the cream:
150 g vanilla protein pudding with no added sugar
30 g of PISTACHIO cream without added sugar Good Noot
Preparation method:
1. Cut out circles from the tortilla using a glass.
2. Roll them into tubes (like a classic cannoli cake) and fasten them with toothpicks.
3. Brush the top with beaten egg and bake in an air fryer at 170°C for 5 minutes.
4. Cool and carefully remove toothpicks.
5. Spread the top of each tube with the delicate Good Noot pistachio cream and sprinkle with finely chopped pistachios.
6. Mix the protein pudding with the Good Noot pistachio cream and transfer to a pastry bag.
7. Stuff the tubes with it.
Ready! This light pistachio dessert looks impressive and tastes even better.
