Recipe for Oat Cookies with Strawberries (4 pieces)

Ingredients for the nut and oat base:

  • 1 very ripe banana (the more dark spots, the sweeter the cookies will be!)

  • 1 cup of rolled oats (old-fashioned or instant)

Toppings:

  • A few fresh strawberries

  • 2 squares of dark chocolate

Step-by-step preparation method:

  1. Nut-banana base: in a large bowl, mash the banana into a smooth paste with a fork. Add 2 tablespoons of PEANOOT BUTTER 100% Nut Paste and mix thoroughly until the ingredients are combined.

  2. Adding oats: pour the cup of rolled oats into the banana mixture and mix again. Set aside the prepared mixture for 15 minutes – during this time, the oats will absorb moisture, swell, and the mixture will become more pliable.

  3. Forming the cookies: line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using hands moistened with water (this prevents the mixture from sticking to your hands), take portions of the dough and form them into round, slightly flattened cookies.

  4. Colorful toppings: cut the strawberries and dark chocolate squares into smaller pieces. Arrange them decoratively on top of each cookie and gently press with your finger to embed them into the oat mixture.

  5. Baking: place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 180°C (350°F) and bake for approximately 12 minutes, until the edges are nicely browned and the chocolate is slightly melted.
