Winter magic in a mug! Viral Chocolate Balls with Choconoot® No Added Sugar

Dec 10, 2025Good Noot

Have you seen it on TikTok and Instagram? A chocolate ball lands in hot milk, bursts in the heat, and releases a sweet surprise inside… These are Hot Chocolate Bombs , chocolate balls that turn regular milk into the ultimate winter drink!

It's not only a delicious dessert, but also a wonderful spectacle. Today we have a recipe for a PREMIUM version that's not only impressive but also healthier! Instead of regular cocoa, the insides of our spheres are filled with a velvety hazelnut-chocolate cream.

The secret to a perfect interior? Choconoot® No Added Sugar

Why is this version better than the classic? Because it's packed with our signature cream. Choconoot® No Added Sugar !

When the chocolate shell cracks, the cream slowly melts into the hot milk, giving it an incredibly rich, nutty, chocolatey flavor and creamy texture. It's like drinking liquid pralines! And because we use dark chocolate and sugar-free cream, the whole thing is much lighter than store-bought options.

Recipe for Viral Hot Chocolate Bombs

This is the perfect idea for a handmade gift for your loved ones (or for yourself, for a long winter evening under a blanket!).

Ingredients (for 5 balls):

  • 100g of good quality dark chocolate (min. 70%)

  • 5 heaped teaspoons of Choconoot® Sugar-Free Cream from Good Noot

  • 5 teaspoons mini marshmallows

  • Colorful sugar decorations (stars, snowflakes) or freeze-dried fruit

  • Equipment: Hemispherical silicone mold (spherical)

Preparation method:

  1. Melting: chop the dark chocolate and melt it in a bain-marie (a bowl over a pot of steaming water) or in a microwave, being careful not to burn it.

  2. Creating the shell (1st layer): Using a kitchen brush or a teaspoon, carefully spread the chocolate along the sides of the 10 mold cavities (hemispheres). Try to leave no gaps. Place the mold in the freezer for 5-10 minutes, until the chocolate hardens.

  3. Reinforcement (2nd layer): This is a crucial step! Remove the mold and apply a second layer of chocolate, focusing especially on the edges to prevent cracking when removing. Chill again in the freezer until completely set.

  4. Filling: Gently remove the ball halves from the pan. Fill each of the 5 halves with:

    • 1 generous teaspoon of Choconoot® Sugar-Free Cream (it will be the heart of the drink!),

    • 1 teaspoon mini marshmallows,

    • a bit of sugar decoration (for the wow effect when melted).

  5. Sealing the balls: Warm an empty plate (e.g., in the microwave or by pouring boiling water over it and wiping dry). Take the empty half of the ball and rub its edge against the warm plate for 1-2 seconds, until the chocolate lightly melts. Quickly place it on the filled half and press down lightly. The melted chocolate will act as glue and seal the ball.

  6. Decoration: Refrigerate the finished balls briefly to allow the seams to set. Then drizzle the tops with a little of the remaining melted chocolate and sprinkle with decorations.

How to drink it? Drop the ball into a mug of very hot milk. Wait for the magical moment when the chocolate cracks, the marshmallows rise to the top, and the Choconoot® cream transforms the milk into delicious cocoa. Stir and enjoy!

Enjoy your meal!
